Mission‑Aligned Collaboration for Heritage, Education, Community, and Cultural Projects
Blue Crab Books works with nonprofits, museums, libraries, historical societies, educational organizations, and cultural organizations on projects that support literary preservation, literacy, literature education, cultural heritage, and community engagement. As an independent literary preservation press, we bring together research, writing and editing, book design, publishing, educational content, and grant writing to help organizations develop, produce, and share meaningful literary, educational, and cultural projects.
Our work includes thoughtfully produced heritage editions, literary and cultural publications, and reading initiatives for both young people and adults that make important works and stories more accessible, engaging, and enjoyable for today’s readers.

These partnerships are mission‑driven and designed to strengthen educational, literary, and cultural impact.
Literature Education & Reading Programs
Blue Crab Books believes literary preservation depends on keeping books in the hands of readers. Our educational work is designed to help both young people and adults discover, discuss, and enjoy classic literature.
For younger readers, we are developing a digital-first Young Readers Classic Literature Enrichment Program for middle-grade readers, homeschool families, educators, libraries, and nonprofit organizations. Inspired by Charlotte Mason’s concept of “living books,” the program will use engaging literature, memorable characters, compelling plots, history, language, discussion, and reflection as the foundation for learning rather than relying on dry textbooks and worksheets.
For adults, our Classic Book Club creates opportunities for readers to discover and discuss classic works through digital books, online discussions, literary background, and supporting content.
We welcome partnerships with libraries, literacy organizations, educational nonprofits, homeschool organizations, community programs, and other groups interested in using literature to encourage reading, learning, discussion, and lifelong engagement with books.
Grant Collaboration
As our literary, educational, and heritage projects progress, we are preparing to collaborate with nonprofits on grant opportunities that support educational, literacy, cultural, literary, and community‑based work. This includes:
- co‑writing grants with nonprofit partners
- developing program narratives
- preparing heritage‑focused proposals
- assisting with sponsorship requests
- supporting documentation for cultural initiatives
Grant collaboration is a shared effort — we work alongside nonprofits to help shape strong, compelling proposals.
Grant Writing as a Service
In addition to collaborative nonprofit work, Blue Crab Books provides grant writing as a standalone professional service for:
- individuals
- nonprofits
- small businesses
Services include:
- federal, state, and foundation grants
- cultural and heritage grants
- literacy and education grants

This service is available independently of any partnership or teaming arrangement.
